Creating a Puptastic Paw Patrol Kids birthday party!

Planning a Paw Patrol-themed birthday party for your little one? Make it a doggone great time with these fun and creative ideas for decorations, activities, and food to bring all their favorite characters to life.

My daughter, like many 3 year old’s, is completely and utterly OBSESSED with Paw Patrol.  She has been asking for a paw patrol birthday party for months now.  When I craft very elaborate birthday parties I try and have a secondary purpose for the decorations after so they dont go to waste.  Many times I end up donating them to my older sons school. However, this year Mandy’s son who is turning 3 two weeks after my daughter wants a paw patrol party too! We figured this is perfect – we can have craft hangouts to and make a ton of decorations as they will be used for both parties!  We also decided to pool all the kids paw patrol toys, stuffies and books for the party as well.

All you need to do is sign up for the Nickelodeon birthday club (by clicking this link here!) and you can book a birthday phone call – for FREE and it is available in Canada!  Once you sign up for the call you will get an email confirmation with a link to an absolute TON of printable paw patrol party decor and activities. Puptastic Tea party

Host an adorable Paw Patrol tea party by setting up a special area for your guests. Put out some bone-shaped cookies, and make sure to fill the cups with decaf tea, hot chocolate or pawberry lemonade! Top it off with mini marshmallows as every kid loves those! Don’t forget to set the table with Paw Patrol napkins and plates!

How to make the mugs!

I used my Cricut mug press and purchased paw patrol SVGs to make paw patrol themed mugs for each of the party attendees!  I usually swear by everything Cricut brand but buying each different colour of infusible ink was a bit past my price point. So I ended up buying this mixed pack of sublimation sheets off Amazon and they ended up working perfectly for this project!  You can’t layer infusible ink but you can use the slicing tool to create an image you can combine on one backing sheet. I did also use the infusible ink pens to draw on the infusible ink sheets too which worked better than I anticipated.

Spark play with Pup zones

Marshall themed pup zone

For the kids activities I decided to make “pup zones” that the kids could rotate through similar to centres in kindergarten.  To do this I printed out “pup badges” out of cardstock and hung on the wall with balloons and streamers (same colour). That made it easy for the kids to see what paw patrol area they were going to. Then I scoured the house to put anything relevant into that pup zone.  Here are is what I included in each zone:

  • Marshall: I put up a brick wall background, added all of the kids firetrucks, accessories and fire hats.
  • Rubble: Used our climbing blocks to create a construction centre and added all of the diggers and trucks we had
  • Zuma: Set up a water sensory bin with paw patrol toys for water recues!
  • Everest: Used our kids play tent for an outdoor area!
  • Rocky:  Took all of the egg cartons, paw patrol colouring sheets, stickers, old boxes and let the kids create anything they wanted!

Get Crafty with Cricut made larger than mat characters

If you have a Cricut machine, use it to make some extra special decorations!! With the help of this die-cutting tool, you can make characters which are larger than the paper on the cutting mat. Create some extra large pups to hang on the wall to immerse your kids in the adventure bay theme!  I used purchased Paw Patrol SVGs scaled to the size I wanted. Then used my slice tool to cut down the layers to proper mat size. I used a mix of HTV (for the complex parts) and cardstock (get the 12″x24″) for the characters. Then used foam squares to mount the cardstock pieces to add dimension to the characters.  Your guests will be absolutely amazed!

Add Pawseome Party Favors

Party favors are the perfect way to thank your guests for joining in on the fun. You can give out items such as customized Paw Patrol badge stickers, temporary tattoos or activity books. I actually found paw print pop-its! If you want to get really creative, you can make your own “Pup Boxes”.  Cut a box with your Cricut machine and use HTV to customize with Paw prints. Kids will love this special surprise!

Fill Your Space with Balloons and branded decorations!

Fill your space with plenty of Paw Patrol-themed balloons, streamers and table decor! Pick and choose from a variety of colors- red, blue, green, yellow and pink – to fit in with the Paw Patrol palette. Create a balloon archway or a balloon wall to direct guests into the pawty area. If you’re feeling really adventurous, fill some Paw Patrol character balloons with helium to create the ultimate centerpieces.

Decorate your table with a paw patrol themed table cloth, add paw patrol paper plates and serviettes to complete the theme!

The Paw Patrol themed party was such a hit – especially the phone call from the Nickelodeon birthday club!! Creating all of these decorations were a labour of love but knowing that I can share them with a friend so they are used one more time made it worth it!! Hope this post inspires your paw patrol themed party -dont forget to check out our Amazon wish list for easy shopping for your party!
