Paw Patrol Birthday Party Ideas (Part 2!) That Will Make Your Child’s Day

Planning the best birthday party can feel daunting with so many possibilities and sometimes not knowing where to start…So here is how we threw my son a heck of a party at home with everything PAW PATROL!!! From decorations to games, the kids had an absolute blast. It’s been 2 weeks and my kids are still requesting to play the Pup-Pup Boogie game!

We made a lifesize Ryder and Marshall with our Cricut’s, huge Pup tag wall decals, and even had the real Pup-Pup Boogie game spinner!

Choosing a Paw Patrol Theme

If you’re familiar with Paw Patrol, you know there is literally an endless list of amazing characters, unique settings, and even a one of a kind game they play when they’re not saving Adventure Bay! It is so hard to narrow down exactly what we wanted to make, but in the end we chose:

  • Ryder and Marshall for the life size decorations and photowall
  • 11″ Pup tags to represent each of the pups
  • the DANCE PARTY Pup Pup Boogie for the main event!

For the decorations, Jo and I made the majority of them from our Cricut cardstock stash, as well as from our Cricut HTV and HTV scraps!

Tip: Pay for the SVG files of your kids favourite show or characters…SO WORTH IT. We used the Paw Patrol SVGs and created every single decoration we had from them.

We made all of the Pup tags first, using the Cricut cardstock in the appropriate colours, added the HTV if it was intricate details, and then put them together using foam dots for a 3D effect!

We were so amazed at how great the pup tags looked when they were done. Rocky’s green pup tag was made solely with Cardstock, but Rubble’s Yellow pup tag was made with HTV and Cardstock! The white and grey of the wrench is HTV and the rest is cardstock! How awesome are they?!

Everest’s white and green one was fully cardstock… we loved how the black cardstock backing served as an outline for all of the other colours.

These pup tags were all about 11″ in height! We made 7 pup tags in total and I put them all around the party room. They added pops of colour throughout the room and definitely helped to spread the Paw Patrol theme throughout the party!

Ryder was definitely the most intricate of them all! In the end he was about 3 feet tall and made from both cardstock and HTV. His vest and jacket details were made from HTV, as well as his shoes. The rest was all from our cardstock stash!

The MVP of the decorations was our 24″ by 12″ Cricut Cardstock. We had them in the basic black, white, and grey pack, as well as the brown tones which worked so well for his hair and skin tone!

Paw Patrol Birthday Club

The best tip for a kids show themed birthday party came from Jo… she set up a call from the   Nickelodeon Birthday Club for my son! Chase and the rest of the Paw Patrol “called” my son and wished him a personal Happy Birthday!

That in itself was amazing…but what we didn’t know at the time was that being part of the Nickelodeon Birthday Club gives you access to PARTY GAMES AND DECORATIONS TO MAKE!!!

One of those games was the Pup Pup Boogie! If you know Paw Patrol, you know that one of the pups fun activities is dancing to the Pup Pup Boogie! We printed the game spinner and directions onto cardstock, added a fun   holographic layer on top and had the perfect ice breaker game for the kids!

All in all, the party was a huge success! Not only was the actually party so much fun, but Jo and I had a blast making all of the decorations as well!
