Valentines day cards!
There is something so fun about making punny valentines day cards for kids! We made this lift the flap style card for our Kindergarteners as an alternative to ones that have “extra” items as that is still not permitted this year. We have shared this template in Design Space if you want to make it!
Decorations!
A classic, especially for an after school activity. Whether you buy decorations from the dollar store or make them it is always such a hit. Really crank it up to party level by adding some fun kids music! We chose to cut hearts out with window cling using our Cricut and it was a HUGE hit!
Sensory Bins
Grab a sensory bin and some pink/red items you have around. I used bubbles (or you can use dish soap!) and a bit of water and mixed it on high in my mixer for a couple of minutes to make a super serious foam bin. I added a play strand of pearls, I made some pipe cleaners into hearts, scoops and some red legos. We got a solid half an hour out of this activity!
Valentines day shirts!
I mean, who doesn’t LOVE to have a super fun themed shirt! While this may not scream valentines day, I like to stay away from “one wear” items so I try and make a theme appropriate shirt that I can add into the rotation when we are done.
Bag for your valentines
Get a paper bag (or make one!) and decorate it in a fun way for your kids to collect their valentines in. If your kids are like ours, then any bag, box or basket is endless hours of excitement so worth the effort! If you want to use this design we have made it sharable in Cricuts design space that you can find here.
