Cricut Mug Press Highlights:

Is the mug press available in Canada?

It is available to buy from Cricut Canada’s website as of March 11, 2021, as well as various stores like Michaels, walmart and on Amazon.ca

What does it Do?

It uses Cricut’s infusible ink on specialty designed sublimation mugs to make safe to drink from, dishwasher safe, peel proof, microwavable safe custom mugs!!

What is Cricut’s Infusible Ink?

Infusible Ink is a form of sublimation which turns dye into a gas that adheres to the surface you are dying. The surface is prepped with a special coating to allow for the sublimation process to take place. So you will need to use Cricut’s blank mugs (or appropriately sized sublimation mugs)  This process allows for peel proof, dishwasher safe and microwavable safe custom mugs.

It had been quite a bit of time since Cricut had come out with a new product so this announcement of a the new Cricut Mug Press is quite exciting. Being able to create custom mugs in different sizes to change out for different seasons/holidays or to give as gifts will be such a great addition to an already full craft rooms! We are SO excited to test out this Cricut Mug Press and dive more into the Infusible Ink process. Especially some of the fun mirroring projects where you make two mugs with one sheet of infusible ink by using the negative! After making tshirts with my kids drawing I think I will try out the Infusible Ink pens and have them draw some pictures that I can transfer onto some mugs.  What will be the first mug you are going to make with the new Cricut Mug Press?

Happy Mug making!!!

Jo
