Cricut just hosted a MAJOR ANNOUCEMENT –they have come out with A NEW MACHINE – the Cricut Venture! They are launching an industrial size machine that can cut up to 24″ widths and up to 12 feet long for a single image and 75 feet long for repeated images! This machine can cut up to 100 different types of materials – read below for ALL of the details!

Is the Cricut Venture available in Canada?
COMING SOON! This large format machine the Cricut Venture and bundles are available on the website as of July 25, 2023 and they are starting to work with other in person retailers like Michaels as well.

What makes the Cricut Venture different than the other models?
That was my FIRST question! How does this new commercial type machines differ than the other ones. So that’s actually a tricky question as I truly think this machine has a different use case than the other machines Cricut currently sells. This machine cuts MUCH larger materials (up to 24″ width) and works at a much faster speed. However with the machine being double the price of the Maker you would really need to have the proper use for it.

How much does the Cricut Venture cost?
- Cricut Venture: The machine will retail for C$1,399.99 in Canada
- Cricut Venture + Stand: You can buy a bundle that is the machine plus stand for people who are limited in space for C$1,789.99
- Cricut Venture + Materials: You can get a bundle that comes with 8 rolls of Cricut smart material and a large mat for C$ 1,699.99
Accessories & Materials:
You can use the materials you already have but you do need to buy some specific Cricut accessories to go with this machine:
- Cutting mats: You will need to buy cutting mats that match the size of the machine and they cost ranges from C$34.99 – C$44.99
- Smart Materials: It depends a lot of what type and length but in general it looks like it will range from $35 for the 5 feet and $155 for the 75 foot rolls.
How can I buy the new Cricut Venture?

The Cricut Venture benefits:
Benefits to consider:
This machine is actually quite different than the explore and the maker models in that it is a commercial machine meaning:
- Larger scale printing:
- Print wider at 13″ or 24″ widths
- Cuts single images up to 12 feet long and repeat images up to 75 feet long in one print
- Faster: They put a commercial motor in the machine to ensure it cuts a commercial printing speeds
- Print then Cut up to 24 in x 28 in! This is so incredibly awesome!
- Space saving design: The machine stands and cuts at a 45 degree angle to ensure it doesn’t take up as much space in a craft room
- New Materials/ Accessories:
- Cricut Venture stand: For people who dont have the space for the machine this long on a craft table they have a craft cart that the machine mounts to.
- Smart Vinyl & iron on: 24″ rolls that allow you to cut up to 75 feet consecutively without using a mat
DOWNSIDES to consider:
- To print this larger size, you need to use Cricut proprietary materials (you cannot use off-brand) however you still can use whatever brand you want when cutting on a mat
- You need to buy new mats
- There is no buy back program currently being offered
